The scale reads from the Key and Scale Type dice, and the chord stacks the Key, Chord Quality, and Chord Extension dice. The pattern is a classic jazz line over ii-V-I in your rolled key, one bar on the ii, one on the V, resolving to a held third on the I. Chord Quality picks major or minor vocabulary. With alterations on, Scale Family recolors the dominant (harmonic minor gives a flat 9, natural minor a flat 13, melodic minor the full altered sound), Chord Extension changes the landing chord, Scale Type can add chromatic approaches, bebop pickups, or flat-5, sharp-5, and flat-9 colors, and Practice Focus writes the feel into the notation: swing rhythm, accents, slurs, dynamics, a tempo mark, or the V bar up the octave.
